We began the day with slightly overcast weather but thankfully the weather cleared to sunny skies.

The REIV reported a clearance rate of 78% over the weekend with 1,084 auctions reported and 844 of those selling. The past weekend marked the highest point in auction activity since December 2015.

Fletchers network of offices achieved a success rate of 65% over the weekend.

In Camberwell, the Californian bungalow at 12 Westbourne Grove successfully sold under the hammer. The home was sold with a winning bid of $2.532 million.

This flexible home had four bidders hoping to purchase and was sold for $943,000.

The conveniently located home attracted six bidders who helped the home reach a final sale price of $1.284 million.

The home features a generous lounge and large dining that leads out to a decked alfresco area. Well-proportioned in space, the home offers a large dining area next to the gleaming kitchen. Situated within the Glen Waverley Secondary School Zone, this home is located in highly desirable area. The home had four competitive bidders on auction day which helped the property reach well over reserve. It was sold under the hammer for $1.005 million
