Fletchers Group News Update – 14 July

July 14th 2014

The REIV recorded a clearance rate of 74% over the weekend, compared to 73% on the same weekend last year. Fletchers had an exciting day under the hammer, achieving an 87% success rate.

Rob Sheahan and Ben Williams had a great turnout for the auction at 8 Devon Drive in Blackburn North. Offering the perfect canvas to renovate, extend or rebuild (STCA) the three bedroom, one bathroom home proved popular on auction day. Five bidders fought to secure the property, which sold for $757,000.

Open spaces, high ceilings and an abundance of light dominate the tranquil three bedroom, two bathroom residence at 2/30 Langford Street in Surrey Hills. Perfect for downsizers, the stylish home was another to attract multiple bidders on the day. The cold weather didn’t diminish interest in the property, with auctioneer Tim Heavyside fielding bids from four parties, declaring the property sold for $1,350,500.

Ben Williams and Rob Sheahan achieved another fantastic result, with the sale of the four bedroom, two bathroom home at 5 Hunter Valley Road in Vermont South. Set on approximately 1,882 sqm it’s filled with endless surprises such as a flood-lit tennis court, solar/gas heated in-ground pool and an impressive covered alfresco deck…plus don’t forget the assortment of fruit trees! It’s not hard to see why this property was so popular. The home sold for $1.29 million, a great result for all.

Offering a fantastic renovation opportunity was the three bedroom, two bathroom home at 4 Renshaw Drive in Eltham. Set on a generous allotment of 867 sqm approx, the two-storey home enjoys a leafy setting, just waiting to be restored to its former glory. The home sold at auction for $576,000.
