Fletchers Group News Update 15 June

June 15th 2016

Unpleasant weather greeted us on Saturday morning, thankfully there were only a few auctions to take place due to the Queen’s Birthday Long weekend. There were plenty of keen buyers still out and ready to bid!

The REIV reported a clearance rate of 75 per cent over the weekend with 238 auctions called, 160 of those selling.

Fletchers Network of Eastern Suburbs offices achieved a 100% success rate.

In Camberwell, the renovated Art Deco home at 163 through Road offered not only an irresistible clinker brick facade but also a dynamic location close to shops, parks and golf course. The home has been extended over the years with 10 foot ceilings, ceiling roses and polished hardwood floors throughout. The home features three bedrooms, a bright bathroom, a large central lounge room offers open fireplace (perfect for the weather on auction day!), modern galley style kitchen and an entertaining terrace – perfect for entertaining. Auctioneer Tim Heavyside got things underway, welcoming bids from three prospective purchasers. The home eventually sold for $1.302 million.

Waiting to have its potential unlocked, 50 The Boulevard in Malvern East is a well kept secret. Located opposite Malvern Valley Golf Course, this generous allotment of 691 sq m is located in private and leafy boulevard.  The existing single level brick veneer home offers a rare opportunity in a quiet and tranquil location with many buyers attracted to the potential of redevelopment. Six bidders got the auction started, reaching 285,000 over reserve the home was sold for $1.555 million.

The park side gem at 50 Cassinia Avenue in Ashwood is ready for a brand new start. The classic three bedroom home offers elevated views, generous lounge rooms, modern kitchen and a spacious meals area. The allotment of 745 sq m is perfect for keen renovators or those looking to build a brand new home (STCA). There were six bidders eager to purchase this home.
