Fletchers Group News Update – 2 October

October 2nd 2013

There was no official clearance rate recorded last weekend due to the AFL Grand Final, and a low number of auctions held. With over 100,000 footy fans at the MCG and many more glued to their screens, it’s no wonder! The spring market will pick up again this weekend, with over 800 auctions expected.

This week the Reserve Bank left the official cash rate at 2.5 per cent, as was widely expected by analysts and the general public. In a statement accompanying the decision, Governor Glenn Stevens noted that long term interest rates remain very low and there is ample funding available for credit-worthy borrowers.

Fletchers were thrilled to be named finalists in several categories of the 2013 REIV Awards for Excellence, to be held at Crown Palladium on the 17th of October. They are:

Large Residential Agency of the Year

The Fletchers Group

 Website of the Year

fletchers.net.au

Residential Marketing Award (Budget over $10k)

“Jacks Ridge” – 4 Junction Road, Merricks North

Residential Salesperson of the Year (Principals)

Tim Heavyside & Jason Salan

Residential Salesperson of the Year (Non-Principals)

Chris Chapman

Residential Property Manager of the Year (Principals)

Andrew Paterson

It is an honour to be recognised and we look forward to a fantastic night amongst our colleagues and industry peers.

The spring market will pick up again this weekend, with over 800 auctions expected by the REIV. Be sure to keep up to date with Fletchers latest news and information on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

Enjoy the rest of your week!
