2nd October 2013 / Andrew Paterson: Fletchers Group News Update – 2 October


There was no official clearance rate recorded last weekend due to the AFL Grand Final, and a low number of auctions held. With over 100,000 footy fans at the MCG and many more glued to their screens, it's no wonder! The spring market will pick up again this weekend, with over 800 auctions expected.

This week the Reserve Bank left the official cash rate at 2.5 per cent, as was widely expected by analysts and the general public. In a statement accompanying the decision, Governor Glenn Stevens noted that long term interest rates remain very low and there is ample funding available for credit-worthy borrowers.

Fletchers were thrilled to be named finalists in several categories of the 2013 REIV Awards for Excellence, to be held at Crown Palladium on the 17th of October. They are:
