15th February 2016 / Kaining Ma: Fletchers Group News Update 15 February

Warm temperatures brought out the crowds, although we enjoyed a quieter auction weekend with a number of properties sold just prior to their scheduled auction date

The REIV reported a clearance rate of 78% over the weekend, with 438 auctions reported. Auction clearance rates are much higher than this time last year; on the same weekend last year there was clearance rate of 72%.

Fletchers network of offices achieved a success rate of 100%, a fantastic result!

In Box Hill, the delightful "Jasmine Cottage" at 3 Thames Street went under the hammer on the weekend. The charming cottage is an ideal family home with four bedrooms, light open spaces and lush garden surrounds. At the auction here were four bidders all hoping to secure it as their new home. Bidding reach well over reserve with the home selling for $1.408 million.

Convenient for the whole family, 23 Hammence Street in Glen Waverley is located within the Glen Waverley Secondary College zone and close to primary schools, shops, parkland and transport. The home is superbly presented with four bedrooms, two bathrooms and sun filled lounge, dining room, stylish kitchen and covered alfresco area with BBQ. Four bidders helped this home reach a sale price of $1.37 million, a fantastic result for Kaining Shepherd on her first sale with Fletchers Waverley!

Well located, 4 Jeffrey Drive in Ringwood sits in a family friendly community with a tree lined street and close to schools and walking trails. The brick home offers three bedrooms, separate lounge and dining spaces as well as a spacious kitchen that incorporates a meals area. Just perfect to move in straight away or add your own personal touches with a modern renovation or development, three bidders were keen on planning their future in the heart of Ringwood. This home sold for a great result of $690,000.
