Fletchers Group News Update – 25 August

It was a glorious day on Saturday, with a taste of the spring weather that will soon be upon us!

The REIV recorded a clearance rate of 71%, compared to 79% on this weekend last year. There were 608 auctions reported, with 434 selling! Fletchers had a great day under the hammer, achieving a success rate of 76%. 

Graeme Keogh and Ben Williams achieved a fantastic result for the three bedroom, one bathroom home at 70 Pakenham Street Blackburn. A great crowd gathered for the auction, which attracted five bidding parties. Ben Williams declared the property sold, above reserve, for an undisclosed price…a great result for all.

The superbly renovated family home at 18 Culbara Drive in Vermont was popular throughout the marketing campaign and with features such as stunning open-plan living and a long balcony with covered alfresco area, it’s not hard to see why! Mark Fletcher fielded bids from five parties who fought to secure the stylish home, declaring it sold for $1.05 million.

A crowd of around 150 people gathered for the auction at 33 Caringal Avenue in Doncaster. Renovated throughout, the three bedroom, two bathroom family home offers impeccable living for the new owners! Auctioneer Tim Heavyside noted that Doncaster is ‘hot’ at the moment, and the excellent results we have been seeing certainly back this up. There were again five bidders hoping to secure this property, which was declared sold for $820,000.

Both Fletchers Diamond Valley and Mornington Peninsula offices also had some great sales on auction day. Prue Wittison and Nathan Foley had ecstatic vendors after achieving an amazing price for 6 Keating Court in Lower Plenty. Set in a tranquil, leafy court location the four bedroom home features a fantastic alfresco area with outdoor kitchen and sparkling in-ground pool…this home is the ultimate entertainer! Three bidders had hopes of securing this impressive property, with strong bidding pushing the final selling price well above expectations to $1.017 million.

The classic three bedroom weatherboard style beach home at 29 Hilltop Avenue in Blairegowrie offers the best in open-plan beach side living! The home sold for $655,000…a fantastic result for Joshua Callaghan and the Mornington Peninsula team.
