Homebuyers flying blind on housing faults could find the unexpected.
Unbudgeted costs could ultimately become a mortgage buster.

David Hallett, manager of Archicentre, the building advisory service of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects, warned that in the current climate of interest rate rises, homebuyers had no margin for error.
